“SIX CHOICES” An insider’s Perspective of the Credit Union Movement at a Crossroads presented by Dennis Dollar

Former NCUA Dennis Dollar made the trek from his home base in Alabama to Charleston, West Virginia to speak at the Leagues 72nd Annual Meeting, April 17-19th. Widely considered one of NCUA’s most popular past board members and energetic speakers, Dollar presented a one and half hour program titled SIX CHOICES “An Insider’s Perspective of the Credit Union Movement at a Crossroads.” Dollar’s presentation offered six strategic choices credit union leaders must make correctly to be successful in the next decade with a special insight on the trends and challenges in today’s marketplace that make these decisions so critical. West Virginia League Elects Officers, Honors Volunteer and Staff Person of the Year
The West Virginia CU League elected Ron Bragg as Chairman of its board of directors during its 72nd Annual Meeting, held April 19 in Charleston, W.Va. Bragg is with Hope FCU based in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Other officers elected are:
First Vice Chairman, Tom Walker, Universal FCU, Huntington;
Second Vice Chairman, Dave Van Middlesworth, Eastern Panhandle Community FCU, Martinsburg;
Treasurer, Doris Cunningham, Members Choice WV FCU, Charleston; and
Secretary, Donna Gordon, Mercer County WV Teachers FCU, Bluefield.
In an earlier awards ceremony, Jack R. Thayer, a director with First Choice America Community FCU received the league's highest annual recognition of a volunteer, the William Bryan Hawkins Award.
Receiving the Pacesetter Award was Scott Winwood, CEO, First Choice America Community FCU. The award symbolizes excellence among paid credit union staff in West Virginia.
